Emanuel Tov, emeritus professor of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is giving a lecture at PTI

With more than 16 authored books and 300 important studies, Emanuel Tov is one the best known scholars in the field of Old Testament studies. Many of his publications are widely used in academies as manuals, research handbooks and reference readings. Readers are probably most familiar with his Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible (3rd rev. edition; Minneapolis: Fortress Press, 2012) and The Text-Critical Use of the Septuagint in Biblical Research (3. ed. completely revised, Winona Lake, IN: Eisenbrauns, 2015). Emanuel Tov is also editor-in-chief of the critical edition of texts from the Dead Sea region, the Discoveries in the Judaean Desert series, as well as coordinator of several electronic editions of biblical and Jewish texts.

His lecture at the Protestant Theological Institute in Kolozsvár (Cluj) addresses topics such as
